BA Star Holiday Red Lip Pencil Review (+ Discount Code!)

Recently I had the opportunity to try out the BA Star Holiday Red lip pencil. I am a huge fan of a bold red lip, but I have never tried to get the look using only a pencil.  To my surprise, the BA Star lip pencil worked great!



The pencil is pretty thick so it felt more like I was applying a lipstick rather than filling in my lips with a pencil. The lip color had a creamy texture and applied very smoothly and easily. My only issue was that the color slid off a little when I rubbed my lips together immediately after putting it on, but after a few minutes the lip color was set and when I looked in the mirror a couple of hours later I didn't have any stray color around my face. :)

“Holiday Red” is a pretty, opaque shade that looks a bit brighter on my lips than the color appears on the pencil.  I think it is the perfect shade to pull off a retro pin-up make look, or to add a finishing touch to your glam holiday party look.
